About Flair Performing Arts – A Place to Learn and Grow

The first thing you should know about Flair Performing Arts is that we are a warm and friendly school and as a result have over 500 members who love our classes. Most importantly, with 17 years of experience behind us, we know that our studio is a safe space. We passionately believe that students flourish when they are in a positive and encouraging environment. Consequently our students can try new things, explore ideas, go wrong and forget the moves without being shouted at or made to feel silly. As such, through regular practice and hard work together we help each individual reach their potential. Above all we support whatever aspirations youngsters have; be that a career in performance or simply having fun in their weekly lessons.

Everyone is important to us and that’s one of the things that’s helped us grow and establish a reputation as ‘A School for All’.

Opportunities for Everyone

We want to give everyone their moment to shine therefore we stage our annual Summer Spectacular’s at the Hazlitt Theatre every June/July. In 2019 we staged 6 shows and over 400 of our students performed. In 2020 we are staging 10 separate shows to enable our growing membership to join in. We know how fun it is to take the spotlight and so each class does 2 routines and a finale on stage.

Our Preschool Pros (over 3’s) can get a little daunted up on the big stage therefore they have their end of year presentations in The Exchange Studio. Their relaxed and informal shows last around 45 minutes and make really magical memories for parents and performers alike.

We are involved in lots of other performances throughout the year. For instance, some of our favourite highlights from the past few years include;

  • Pasha Kovalev (BBCs Strictly Come Dancing) Tour Performers
  • DisneyLand Paris (Main Theatre Show Performers & Parade Performers)
  • The Port Aventura Main Stage in Barcelona
  • The Royal Albert Hall
  • Sadlers Wells
  • Her Majesty’s Theatre
  • TV Shows on ITV & BBC

Rewarding Effort As Well As Achievement

Above all we know the importance of praise and reward & as such they feature highly in our lessons as they motivate and build confidence in our students. We continually assess progress in class as students work towards their next medal; achieving three over the course of an entire academic year. For some that progress is tangible like ‘learning to do the splits’ for others it’s more personal, like coming into the room without needing Mum in there. Flair support you whatever your goals are.
