Gemma Wilson

Gemma began dancing from the age of 4 and quickly knew she wanted to pursue a career in performing. After finishing her A Levels at Invicta Grammar School, Gemma went on to study Dance and Musical Theatre at Reynolds Performing Arts College for 3 years.

During this time she was the Vice Captain Cheerleader for Gillingham Football Club’s Cheerleaders ‘The GFC Gems’ performing at all home games, charity events and as a showgirl in their Christmas Cabaret performances ‘Viva Las Priestfield’.

In the summer of 2015 Gemma flew to Taiwan to board Star Cruises ship ‘The Aquarius’, which sailed around Asia to teach Dance, Zumba fitness and Cheerleading classes to guests & children on board the ship. This is where she was bitten by the travel bug!

On graduating in 2016 Gemma taught for Flair Performing Arts covering a variety of different styles for all ages.

In January of 2017 Gemma moved to Japan to begin her professional performing career within the Walt Disney Company. She performed in a variety of shows & parades at Tokyo Disney Resort for 2 and a half years. Her highlights during this time include performing as the female swing in Tokyo Disney Sea’s show ‘Fantasmic’, performing in Disney’s ‘Tanabata’ shows which celebrate Japan’s Star Festival & appearing on merchandise such as Disney’s ‘Funderful’ 2019 Calendar.

In May of 2019 Gemma moved to France to complete a seasonal contract with Disneyland Paris until January of 2020. Highlights include dancing on ‘Mickey’s Halloween Celebration Parade’ and as a Snowflake Dancer in the Frozen section of ‘Disney’s Stars On Parade’.

Gemma is delighted to be back teaching some familiar faces & new students at Flair Performing Arts and hopes to pass on her love for performing to the next generation of budding superstars!
