Lucy Merrett

Lucy started Flair at the tender age of “much younger” than she is now!

Almost 2 decades later she’s married to TV & Film Producer Stuart Merrett and is Mum to Dylan (10), Harper (4) and Mabel (1.5)

Born and bred in Maidstone, Lucy went to Invicta Grammar school before going off to Loughborough Uni to get her degree in Sports Science.

After graduation she started up Flair alongside working as a Sports Development Officer for the borough council.

From there her passion for teaching took over and she started her own teaching company delivering Specialist PE/Dance lessons at numerous local Primary & Secondary schools. This included teaching the GCSE & A-Level Performing Arts / Dance courses.

Since the birth of her son in 2010 Lucy has made Flair her full focus growing the school alongside her family as her daughters followed in 2016 and 2019.

Lucy has worked professionally throughout her life, career highlights include;

Singing in the revivals cast recording for Joseph & The Technicolour Dream Coat

Acting in the live tour of Pythons’ Terry Jones’ Erik The Viking

Dancing (as well as acting and singing) alongside Cheryl Baker as a Principle in Honk

Her most recent credit was back in 2016 as a regular panelist in 23 episodes across 2 series on a BBC One daytime quiz show; Think Tank (hosted by Bill Turnbull).

Lucy heads up Flair as Principal and Creative Director and is responsible for all things paperwork & planning related! She is our Welfare and Safeguarding Officer and your first point of contact if you have any concerns of any sort.
